Honey Josetta Senter was born in Savannah, and has spent the better part of her life in Effingham County. She has two daughters. Lacie, who is a senior at ECHS and plans to major in business at Georgia Southern University,. Haley is in the 7th grade at ECMS, and is on the school volleyball team. In Honey Jo's down time she enjoys golf, fishing, ballroom classes, writing poetry, reading, and yoga.

Honey Jo has been a professional massage therapist for more than 10 years, and she opened the first massage therapy business in Effingham, setting the standard for future massage therapy entrepreneurs.
